Hello all,
I am looking for some opinions on the completed 1/35 scale elefant. I realize the lighting in the photos is dreadful, but any comments on build, camo, and tone of the model would be appreciated!

Like it. might benefit from some shinier silver on the track portion contacting the ground. I did not check my references but curious whether the divisional symbol shouldn't lower on the right face plate. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the reply! For the silver I used Tamiya chrome silver, dry brushed. The light in the photos is absolutely terrible, the silver is brighter in reality. I still have to produce a box to be able to take proper photos. I'm not quite certain about the divisional insignia. I didn't do any research on it, I just followed the Tamiya manual. But you might be right, I've seen another person put it lower and more to the left.

Looks very good! The figures are really emphasizing the size and the zimmerit is very convincingly done.

Nice beast you've got there! I'm quite sure, that the divisional emblem was placed rather high on the armored superstructure. Just one tiny detail, don't get carried away when "blackening" muzzlebreaks. In real life they don't really get very darkened at all

Thank you all for the replies!
You're probably right about slightly going to town on the muzzle break. Luckily, in this case the black smoke pigment isn't on very tightly so it can be reduced.
After I finished the model I was concerned that the overall tone was a little dark. Could be just my eyes after looking at the model for a very long time.

Here are some hopefully better photos of the tank in comparison to a clean, but weathered Jpanther.

I think your Ferdinand looks ace. The figures are really very good. And did you use Tamiya zimmerit?

Thank you for the kind comments! The zimmerit is from Tamiya. It was pretty good to work with.
