The Samgachi store may have moved. Check in the archives. This question has been asked a lot in the 9 years since I first asked it.... Back then there was a shop in the COEX mall that sold Gundam and Academy kits along with Tamiya paints. Don't kno it it's still there either. Happy traveling.

Hobby Park
I think this is the shop Gino sent me to back in 2006, it's moved since we were there, but it looks like it's at the same station. Back then it was heavily into Trumpeter, don't recall much Academy.

I was in Seoul last year and even when I went to Toys-R-Us (yes, they have it in major cities in South Korea) there, you will find a lot of Academy kits for cheap. I kind of went crazy and bought too many.
As to Japanese and Chinese products, the prices were comparable to what I would get from Luckymodel or Hobbyeasy.
Have fun!

LOL, I checked out a Toys R Us in Malaysia, and all they had were Gundam.
IIRC the prices on Trumpeter in Korea were OK, but the Academy prices were half of US. Look next to the kit number and there's a 3 or 4 digit number, that's the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price in Won. At the time I was there, Won were about 900 to the Dollar, so a 4600 Won kit was $46. Comparable US catalog prices were anywhere from $64 to $96.
