Hello in the next thread.
This time I'm going to build a Panther ausf A from Dragon.
The painting sheme will be taken from art.-box. This mean Normandy 1944 without zimmerit.
Its a nice model, but for the 90' not up to date so there's no PE fret with the grill fences and metal clasps for the tools.
To make it more up to date I will use Neo Models upgrade kit:

Keep the fingers crossed for my build please!

Looks promising,
Be aware that there were no late Ausf As without zimmerit.

Hi all,
I'm actualy after 4 days with the clean-up of the link tracks.
First I've used Dissolved putty to cover the holes
Next the sandpapers were used (two gradations) after the elements were cut off. Two holes on each track link 196 Times... this was painfull.
Then only last sanding of the links...
...and finaly my own Magic Tracks after 4 days.
After that I can proceed to the proper assembly of the Panther.

Those old Dragon links are tedious,I remember doing the ones for an old Imperial series Panzer III

Hello,
Rcently I've changed the fenders to resin, made the missing MG34 mounting and changet it into Aber barrel, also the PE grills was added.
The rear side was upgraded with resin box'es and canisters withe the racks made of resin. The jack was upgraded with the PE clasp.
All the best in the New Year!

zim looks good, what did you use? Zim is usually pretty thin looking in 1/35 scale. I have a bunch of Dragon zim kits to compare with. I did a Italeri Jagdpanther with zim using green putty, it came out ok but was obviously too thick..not severe but compared to the Dragon..you could tell.
Is that the kit that has the rubber damaged boxes? I have those in my spares, never did use them. They did look well detailed.

You sure that shovel should be hanging askew like that?

Well, it should be stright but I wanted it to look more messy and worn. Like the clasp that is askew by dozens Times of use.
Note that this is the only tool that is not perfectly correct with the position. Rinaldi just skipped some tools and my idea was to make it look not so perfectly as from the factory.

Hello,
In last few days I made some progres.
I've replaced the hammer's rack and that was the last rack to be replaced with PE parts.
The pistol port in turret was upgraded with the chain and left open
I've also made the spare tracks rack mountings
The shovel was a little too askew as You probably noticed, and I've changed the conception and made it more stright.
I've also replaced the original chain to PE on the travel lock.
The inside MG was replaced with the RB Model metal barrel
This is the actual look
Next progres soon.
