Hi just a question. Was the only design used on the Panzer jacket of ss crews the pea dot pattern, or was there some variation. I am asking about the standard short jacket that was most often used by waffen ss and heer tank crews throughout the war.

Yes you are correct in this, it was only issued in "pea pattern".Please note that there are lined and unlined versions, the lined one appears to have had a central rear seam and is slightly better quality, but this won't be apparent in 1/35, although the seam will be. Interestingly, the central seam featured on the rear of the Wehrmacht black panzer clothing, but not on SS issue, which tended to have no central seam, and slightly more rounded lapels; the front opening also slanted more on Army jackets, SS ones were virtually vertical. This information came from "Waffen SS Uniforms in Colour Photographs", by Andrew Steven & Peter Amodio.
If you are interested in using the older "oak leaf" style, there was a widely issued one-piece SS Panzer overall, reversible from green to brown. DML have some figures labelled "LAH Kursk 1943" wearing it, but it is not specific to LAH, and was worn by lots of Panzer crew and Armoured car crews in Normandy.
