I've only found 2 pics of the 12.8 cm K81/1 on the net, both in firing position. Does anyone know where the spades where stored for travel? One pic shows they are different than what was used when the gun was used as a 155mm. Also the fitting for storing the spades on the trailing legs appear to be missing.
Thanks, john

I usually store them along with the Diamonds, Clubs, and Hearts. Just bumping your post back up.

Hi John,
first a happy and healthy 2016.
Since every gun/howitser which is towed needs a tractor, the tractor will act as a multifunctional warehouse/crew 'appartment'! Personal gear, sleeping bags, grease, oil cans, tube cleaning chemicals, food, tools, they are all, more or less logical, stowed. In case a gun is brought into position only those items which contribute to the firing are located around the gun. All other stuff is thus in the tractor.
Cheers,
P.

I built the Azimut kit years ago.
It's certainly unconventional in appearance! I replaced the gun tube and recoil guard bar but otherwise built it OOB. I didn't address the tool stowage situation

I think I'll just hang them off the trailing legs ala K18 or sfh18.
