Has anybody built the kit? Any opinions on quality and accuracy? I want to add it in my list but i cannot understand the large difference in price between Trumpeter and Tiger offering! What does the Tiger model offer more to justify the different price?

Hi;
I Don't remember Tiger Model ever saying they had A T-90MS ! As far as Trumpeter is concerend they offer Quality in there product, and Tiger is A New kit maker, and I have several of there kits. Tiger has offered some kits that No one else has even thought of; ie) AMX-10RC to name just one ! And they have announced A BMPT Mk;2 Terminator.
As Far as Accuarcy goes, there will always be Items that someone will say that its not accurate. As with all things it all comes down to Personal Choice !!
CHEERS; MIKE.

Hello Mike
I have kits of both companies and for sure Trumpeter offers great kits especially the last three-four years. Tiger is a new company with many unique releases! They announced the T-90MS in Malaysia model show almost a month or so ago. See attached topic: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/248303 and some images from their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/367848000043590/photos/pcb.588048381356883/588047911356930/?type=3&theater i just wonder why the difference in the price!

Hi,
Trumpeter prices some kits very low to price out the competitors. if not for competing kits, their t-90ms will be the same price as their t-72s.
I have tiger model kits. They are pricey, but the kits are well engineered, puts together quite easily, and have multiple options. ie their nagmachon doghouse domes with three transparent sets, blue, purple and clear, plus chains which the trumpeter one doesn't.
again trumperter priced their version of that kit lower to compete with tiger's which is a superior kit.
If you are looking for budget then buy the trumpeter one. But i prefer the tiger model kits cos their easier to assemble.

Some confusion here...Hobbyboss (yes I know its a subcompany of Trumpeter) makes the Nagmachon, Hobbyboss kits are sold often cheaper then Trumpeter Brand.
For example Trumpeter has the T-90MS for $75-95 dollars in the US. The Tiger Models kit isn't out yet, but Hobbyeasy is showing it for $58 pre-order and they have the Trumpeter kit on sale already at $35 bucks or so with a regular price of $42...

Hi Scott,
Sorry i got mixed up with the branding i always lumped trumpeter together with hobby boss.
But the point is if not for competition from tiger models, the hobbyboss nagmachon doghouse will probably cost the same as their idf puma if not more.
Point it, if you want bargain trumpeter / hobbyboss kits, look out for kits that their competitors also put out.
ie Trumpetuer's scud vs the rumored Meng scud
Trumpeter's smerch vs meng's smerch....or trumpeter's zsu 57 vs takom;s zsu 57...
No doubt the upcoming temrinator 2 and early nagmachon will see trumpeter / hobbyboss pricing their kits lower then they usually do for kits without competing version (ie their t-72, t-80 range, which are getting expensive),,,,

So basically Trumpeter is releasing TWO different versions of the T-90MS Kit # 9524 T-90MS Tagil version 2013 and this one of this thread, #5548 Tagil version 2011.
It is kind of confusing about the kit #. it is mentioned as 5549 instead of 5548

Tiger Models version looks the same as the Trumpeter kit 5548 (Tagil 2011)
