looking to take my M1151 from Academy and turn it into Iraqi counter terror vehicle. My question is would it make more sense to have a DSHK or M2 .50cal just thought I would ask

The Iraqis use large numbers of both. You would be safe either way.

So you want to build one, without photo reference just putting on a "theoritically suitable" MG and generic markings?
Me I'd start from a least one reference pic, but to each his own..
Cheers,
Christophe

Why do you even care?
He never even mentioned references, he only asked about an MG choice.
You jumped in criticizing his build, but you do not have any basis for your comments.

Frank, that's an interesting subject. Please show us your pics, I'd love to see them, or the pics of your finished vehicle.

Hi,
Hungarian forces in Afghanistan had something similar (M1151+ DshKM and also NsVT or M2). I am not saying it is necessarily the same, but might serve as pointers:

I have some more photos but I need to find the link to their source.
Cheers,
Adam

Really?
You are going to build a given vehicle and you even don't know what armament it should carry?
That surely lead me to doubt about the general accuracy the final result may achieve.
But that's only me... Oh, and Christophe toó, it seems.

I saw both weapons systems fitted on there humvees while I was there there's no right or wrong here as for markings with the exception of a national flag and the punisher symbol there weren't often unit markings.
Bald tires was common as was small arms battle damage I don't think people understand the situation especially the situation in 2015 they had a surplus of equipment with very little opportunity to repair them, that said the Iraqi SF guys carried M4 style weapons and had better equipment.
The Iraqi army is from what I found unique in the sense they don't care for the standard usual stuff other army's bother with if it works and gets the job done then so be it that's how they seem to operate, I will go through my pictures that I took there and have a look at them to see what was taken but to be honest at the time I wasn't going around taking model worthy reference photos.
Cheers Ben.
