I have some more finished, this build will probably be slowing down some.
I am starting to build a new house, and don't have a lot of spare time.
Here are the Batteries & Oil Cooler Radiator.

I'm finished for now.

Donald does the battery section hinge forward for engine maintenance the way the cab does on the Scud?

Here are 3 Pics. from the instruction sheet. It looks to me that the front panel is fixed in place and the other 2 are hinged to it.

No I meant like a big rig cab over rotates forward for engine access. Like the right hand cab does on the Scud as shown here.

I think he means will the model do that? The scud has two cabs, not sure where the battery business is.

If anything, the cab on the left side of the unit might hinge on the model

Ooops. I misunderstood There are bumpers molded on to the brace where the Battery unit rests. While no hinge that I can see is present, I'm not sure what the hinge looks like.
With some scratch building I'm shure it could be done.
It's a shame to cover up that nice Engine.

I finally have this part finished.

This is really slow going , I am currently building a new house for my Wife, so this is being done with any spare time that I have.

Very nice, you're inspiring me to get back to work on mine.

1:1 work is also great therapy, good luck with the house. I remodel interiors, but never a whole house.

That's some seriously nice detail there - no wonder it's taking some time!

I find those 'real world' projects to be physically tiring which can really cut into modeling time, even if I do get to sit!

I have the Drivers cab assembled and closed up for painting.

The exterior of the doors are held in place with a little white glue.

Inside their is a photo etch Part with small strips that can be bent to show an operating temperature or left closed , it's your choice.

Hi Donald,

Amazing detail in the cab and with the PE. Truly exceptional build. Thank you for sharing.

Here is what I have finished of the Launch Cab.

Most of this will not be seen even with the doors open, when the top is installed.

The joints need a little filler.

Finished for now.

Installing the Engine and Battery covers.

There is a gap between the panels , I don't know if it is supposed to be this way or not.

can they be removed, so you can see the nice work underneath? A shame if not

They can be made removable, I'm not certain what I'll do there yet.
