I haven't posted anything for a while, I've been busy with the seams on the rocket launch tubes, there are a lot of seams to fill there.

The parts are held by small sections of Sprue tac glued to the insides.
There are 3 different exhaust ends, be careful not to mix them up.

I'm using the Poly end covers to mask the open ends of the tubes.

All painted now, it would really be a pain to paint all of this after it was assembled.

I used the tube end caps as covers to mask off the ends.

I filled all the seams.

I'll be assembling the rocket tubes to the frame next.

I hate the thought of dealing with those tiny etch working piano hinges but your engine and battery covers are certainly canidates for using them.

Keep up the great work!

First off there is a big mistake in the instructions , the Support Rack Assembly is shown upside down in relation to part P2.

This is how it should go.

That finishes the tail ends of the launch tubes.

Now I start the section with the long tubes. The parts are all keyed and only fit one way.

This is the other end of the long tubes.

They all key into the next cross brace, be careful here it's like trying to herd cats. They all want to go their own way.

Now it's the short tubes, they go in the same way as the long ones being careful to line up the notches. don't worry about the thin strips shown in the instructions yet.

After the glue has set insert one end of the thin strips into the small triangle openings by the tubes bend the strip carefully and insert into the opposite side.

Next I installed the ends, no problem here.

I'm wonder what the small part is, it gets a clear leanse on its front end.

The business end.

Now for a little touch up paint and this section is done.

I forgot to paint the back side of the electronics in the launch cabin, they are slightly visible through the front windows.

The Rocket tubes are mounted to the truck.

The Wheels are installed.

If you are using the resin wheels you will have to shorten the bottom part of the stabilizers to 5.5 mm otherwise the wheels will be off the ground.

The aiming Platform is rather tricky to build.

Excellent.

I will be using this as a guide for finishing my own.

I also love the "factory new" paint job, although I may be in the minority

WOW, what a build! It makes want to think twice before I buy this kit. The detail you put in was just awesome. Thanks for the detail build diary.

I'm glad that you all liked my build, I generally do not do the heavy weathering of the models.
This build took me a little over a month, and I'm really tired.
I'm not sure when I'll be starting another one, but it'll happen sooner or later.
I try to show what is in the kit and how it goes together, I'm no expert on these vehicles so don't take my word as everything I present is exactly as it is in reality.

Ok enough rambling on of an old man.
Regards
Donald
