Some highlights from the Dayton Regional: A few subjects that caught my eye at Wrightcon.
Correction this was an IPMS Regional however they employed a AMPS style of judging where every modeler got a critique and an evaluation of their model!

Some pretty nice work. The robot head on the trailer, and the KC-135/C-5 pieces, I saw in person at the Richmond show in February.

You're welcome guys.
They had over 600 entries, wish now I had shot more. As I say these are just the ones that caught my eye.

It looks more like a giant "Bender" head from that episode of Futurama.

Yes that made the greatest impression on me too. I honestly feel a little jealous for not having thought of this myself, you know? Builds like this that can mate fiction and reality so seamlessly are most inspiring to me.

It was the My Iron Giant/Dragon Wagon that motivated me to say "I need to get my camera out"!
That DW was beyond "award winning" in its' own right even without the beautiful (and internally illuminated) robot head.
The entry took the Best Military Vehicle award at the show! Built by Mike Witkowski.
