Following on from a Build Log and Review last year, here finally (!)is a Photo Feature of the finished Takom Mk IV! Some museums take longer than others to open a new exhibit, I guess...

Very nicely done! Gets the appearance of a museum display right on the money. Not sure if I'd want a "bunch of tourist figures" since that would likely entail making the base larger. Perhaps just two,, an old man with a young boy, sort of a grandfather/grandson, "what did you do in the great war, grandpa."

My grandfather emigrated from Norway as a boy then fought with the Allied forces supporting the Whites around Vladivostok when he was in his 20s. He had some pics of these or maybe Mk IVs with American infantry. Lost when he passed away but I was in awe of these great lumbering beasts...very nice work

Wonderful concept for displaying your work. You have a good eye. Would a small group of visitors in front of a docent work?

Hi guys,

Thanks! I hear you on the numbers issue. I have a bunch of models done as museum objects (lets me build things that aren't my "scene"), so would love to see a whole range of civvie figures, but for this one I'd be happy with even one who didn't look like an extra from the old "World at War" series! There are civilians out there, but they all have that war-torn 1940s look...

Such a cool display! I like the "please touch" Lewis Gun display with the red "stand here" footprints.

Beautiful idea and realisation. Weathering is spot on, the side displays are a cool idea. Two details caught my eye: the rear end of the open track does not touch ground and the left side of the base looks a bit bare. Maybe a barrier with handrails to guide visitors might be an idea. Hope you find a figure as the display really cries out for one.
Great work. Thanks for sharing.

Assume you have seen the Reedoak 3D figures from Norbert Jakob in France? Nice stuff

Yep - the left side is a bit bare. I will probably put stuff there too, but I need to think about it first as nothing really springs to mind just yet. Maybe a school party?

As for Reedoak, I was just looking at their growing range! Those civilian truckers look good for tourists. Pricetag is a bit steep, but that's the joy of 3D printing.
