According to Hobby Easy mine are already on the way since 2 weeks.

Hi
This kit was already released in China a few weeks ago.
There's a build review in Chinese:
http://www.moxing.net/2016/0624/7409.html
It doesn't matter if you can't read Chinese. The photos speak for themselves. There're in total 17 pages. In the middle of the first page you'll see some figures denoting page numbers, the rightmost is the "next page" button. Just click.
Interesting.
Meng describes the camo option "C" as for Ukrainian army. Just for the note: it's based on several available pictures + TV news, when Russian state TV told "Ukrainians now even have foreign optics from France, the west is involved here"
However, Ukraine doesn't have any T-72B3, Russia is the only manufacturer and owner of this tanks. And not so suprisely, Russia's T-72B3 do have French made optics. This "captured" tank was one of the many evidences of Russian army / vehicle supplies to the war in Ukraine. The "H2200" marking on the tanks also says, it was transported by Russian train wagons, they use to mark the oversize that way. So guys, that's for your clearance

Thanks guys. And thanks for posting that M.K. I'm a little disappointed the painting options don't include the attractive three tone sand, green and black. All the reference photos I've seen show it in plain green. I've got too many tanks painted that way... I was really looking forward to doing some commo.
Hmmm, maybe I'll go for the Trumpeter T-80 instead. Was really looking forward to my first Meng kit though. Decisions, decisions.

I am aware of one of these in Ukrainian "service", probably the one Evgenij is talking about. There are quite a few photos around of it, including of the unfortunate end it met...

well..if you want a camouflage B3/B3M? wait for trumpy T-72B3/B3M and you can do it with tank biathlon camouflage. and also...T-80BV is a good choice too.

For a T-72B3 painted in the three tone of green, sand and black the only option seems to be the tanks used by Serbia in the Tank Biathlon 2015 :

Kazakhstan used a green and sand scheme :

https://77rus.smugmug.com/Military/Final-Tank-Biathlon-2015/i-fjrs5W3/0/O/Tankbiathlon15finalp1-33.jpg
There are other options for the T-72B3, some quite funky schemes :
http://www.armyrecognition.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19919&sid=8c8eca648ef2077e552f05b096d93ba6
I have Meng's T-72B3 and it has decals for the Russian vehicle in the 2015 Tank Biathlon :

Thanks Yann. Some really interesting photos there. Isn't armour exciting?! I think if I'm going to do one I'd like to depict it on active service in the field. I don't really mind doing a plain green but I hate that dark bronze green I've seen in most of the photos. I love that khaki green that some of their armour is painted. But I've actually seen the T-72B3 in olive drab. Are the Rooskies painting their armour in olive drab now or is it for export or something like that?
If I can find a photo of a T-72B3 in Russian service, in the field, painted in khaki green or similar (anything but that horrible bronze green) then I'd be sold.
I bought two T-80 kits recently which I got as an alternative to the Meng kit. A T-80U from Xact which looks super sweet and Trumpeter's T-80BV which has some details I'm not happy with. But I find I'm still wanting to do this Meng kit.

Phil,
I can't find the reference / source right now but I understand the Russians gave up painting their tanks and AFVs in multi colour schemes 2 or 3 years ago to cut down on expenses. Since then they have been issuing their armour in plain green, and 3 different shades of green are used depending on the regions IIRC. One of these shades sort of errs towards khaki green.
Perhaps these will be to your liking ?

Found this again :
"Camouflage change April 2013
August 5 2013, 1:29 PM
From the Russian press (translation courtesy of Cookie Sewell):
As of today (4 April 2013) Defense Minister Shoygu has ordered all vehicles to no longer be painted in camouflage, but based on area of deployment to be either dark green, light green, or khaki.
They were all painted in three-color camouflage a la MERDC using a combination of three out of ten colors: light green, dark green, mid green, khaki, mid yellow, mid brown, light yellow, grey, light grey, and black. Camouflage matters are handled by the 19 TsNII-IV (19th Central Scientific Research Institute of the Engineer Forces)
According to the maintenance officer of one brigade, vehicles are painted twice a year with up to 40 kilograms of paint per session, timed to coincide with the start of troop training cycles (spring and fall). But takes a month to get all vehicles painted. A single color is easier and faster to apply and if combat is forecast the vehicle can easily be repainted in camouflage. One color only takes 1-1.5 hours to apply per vehicle. "

Hi YJ. Yeah that's more like it. That's nice.
Would anyone know of a set of crew figures to go with the tank? I know of a couple in mid '90s period, but that would be too early for the B3. As I understand the Russian tank forces have brand new gear as of 2012.
Jeez, imagine painting that.

I believe they still use that camo pattern along with the latest one so shouldn't be a problem.
A few more 'Khaki' T-72B3's on this page :
