Hello folks
I'm going through a good modelling time, 9th finished kit in a row (though all of them were shelf queens...). This time, an old snap tite Datsun pickup truck from 1981, that I got very cheap right here thanks to Heavyarty (Gino).
Since I'm in a heavy weathering phase of my modelling skills, I finished it as a heavy used vehicle, could end up in an african setting vignette...I should say that scale wise, the truck its pretty close to be 1/35, dimensions are pretty close to the Meng's Toyota truck.
I did some mods like lowering the suspension and adding the mirrors, changing the hard plastic wheels with the one from Meng set (almost perfect fit if a tad loose) and put some cargo from Tamiya, Meng and also some real small wood sticks and rope. Painting was done using Testors enamels, K4 and Ammo acrylic paints and weathering products.
Hope you like it and comments welcome.

Hi Klaus,
I'm sure I have seen that pick-up somewhere on the back roads here in South Africa - a typical 'farmer's truck'.
Congratulations on a very nice build.

Thanks buddy,
This kind of kits can be found on ebay from time to time but can be a bit expensive even not considering shipping. In my case I got some from a member of this site like a year ago, complete but unboxed, very cheap and I save a lot on shipping! Now I regret that didn't bought all of them!

Great modelling.
I have one in my stash to one day make something like this Rhodesian Police turreted convoy escort vehicle.

Nice job! The 1/32 scale difference is hardly noticed as the stowage in the bed seems to match perfectly in scale.

hell yeah, nice work, and it looks like a old clapped out beaten down truck.
Where did the oxygen and oxysedaline tanks come from?
I'd love to see it in a diorama.
