Hi allI will put here some pictures from my build from the Meng's M1A2 TUSK kit.
For a kit comparison,take a look at EPI's post concerning the RMF's M1A1/A2 kit : https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/247029&page=2#2088000

First pic, the under belly armor :

That looks great!

I've no idea which Abrams to choose - Dragon, Academy, Tamiya, Meng, or Rye Field?

Tracks look good but little too hard to assemble; I replace them with the AFV Club workable tracks, as they fit perfectly on the drive sprocket wheels :

Pascal, looking good, thinking about this for a A2 TUSK I

Greg, Not Tamiya, dragon M1A1 AIM or M1A2 SEP. M1A1 TUSK, go RFM or if moneys not a problem go Dragon and conversion set. For a M1A2 TUSK I/II from what I've seen of the academy kit uness money is tight go MENG

I really want to see how the skirts and those arms attach. That really had me hung up on the Dragon kit.

Nice to see these new Abrams kits. I sure do like having the option of being able to pose the suspension as I fit. It sure makes things easy when adding this kit to a diorama settings

Nice. Btw, that yellow clay kind of looks like silly putty. Of course, silly putty never drys so what is that you are using there? TIA

I use "Patafix" for provisional fixing.
