Perhaps Legend will do an M113 engine for those who want it. They have produced an engine for an AFV Club kit before- the Stryker. Either way, I am excited. And I probably should get started on the Academy kit I just bought $100 worth of AM for....

Maybe the sooner you finish that kit, the sooner AFV Club will get this kit out.

Verlinden already released a full interior set for M113 with an engine, so maybe they'll do the latter as a set by itself.

Times have changed. Back then they didn't have such competition from Mainland China, as they have now: Trumpeter/HB, Takom, Meng, RFM. Now if they don't do it, someone else will. And soon. I expect more M113 kit announcements in a matter of days or weeks.
We definitely live in an awesome time for this hobby indeed! New M113 = time to celebrate!!

Verlinden is belly up, Kaput, out of business.

How do you think, how many M113 kit announcement from other manufacturers we will see in the next couple of weeks?
Takom had announced a family of M113 and derivatives a few months ago. Here is a direct quote from their Facebook page.
"After receiving many requests from our customers, Takom has decided to produce some new 1/35 kits of the M113 family. We understand that other manufacturers are currently working on this subject, but we are confident that we can bring you something special and unique."

Ain't that the truth. Them and Meng are remaking the hobby landscape.
