I see Dragon is re-releasing this kit: http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/prodd.asp?pid=DRA6454, which is good because the first issue didn't last very long. Bad news is that it's about double the original price! http://www.dragonusaonline.com/item_detail.aspx?ItemCode=DRA6454 It's the 105mm version StuG, but the parts for making a regular 75 mm StuG are also on the sprues.

And at that price you'd get DS tracks

It seems Dragon is using the DS Tracks vs the Magic Tracks argument to boost the price of their re-issued kits. In recent months, I noticed that a number of re-issued kits that came with DS tracks are now with Magic tracks instead, and of course, the price goes up 20% to 30%. Look out for a round sticker on top of the box saying "Magic Tracks Included." If buying online, must read the descriptions carefully.
I am not sure if this is the same for this kit.

Note also that there appear to be a few accuracy issues with this kit. Dragon's SmartKit StuG represents a MIAG vehicle and with this release they added Alkett pattern zimmerit without reworking details such as the fender brackets, return rollers etc.
There's a build article here: http://www.stug.ch/lesergalerie/stug3/stuh42_klaus_delventhal/StuH%2042%20Baubericht%20englisch.pdf that kitbashes the new release with Dragon's older StuH 42 to produce an accurate model.

The only StuG with zimmerit and people have to bash it. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to throw mine out! Totally unbuildable!! BTW, the original issue also came with DS tracks.

I love the Dragon Stugs,I even built one with zimm, had a decent interior,it even had MTs # 6633.I consider myself a Dragion fan,but $ 80.00 is over the top,I mean when the last two Tigers came out ,they were $80.00,but for a Smaller Stug ??? over the top for me.

If the faults are still there, it's very expensive. For a good Stug with zimm, #6633 is a great kit.

Boy, am I behind the times! I wasn't even aware Dragon released a second StuG w/zimmerit. Probably the same kit with Saukopfblende included. That one now lists for $75 USD!

The original came with Magic Track, I still have it and the other Zim kit in the stash.
