I wouldn't bother with the Engine, unless you were using this model in a maintenance Diorama. After assembly the vast majority of it won't be seen.
I have two builds of this kit in the large scale section, some of this might be helpful to you. This should be very interesting.

thanks for the heads up , the reason that i detailed the engine and gearbox was to try out my new airbrush . i have looked several times in your build blog, you did a outstanding build

Does it come with an actual rubber serpentine belt, with the correct grooves inside and everything?
