Nice work Adam. I did not look at your video but I didn't see what material you used for the putty. Can you advise?
I prefer Academy's new offering on the same subject and recently purchased that one. It comes with decal zimmerit and is $10-12 cheaper than the RFM kit. A distinct down side to the Academy kit is the rubber band tracks. They do not have hollow guide horns so I will be chucking these. I have some AFV Club and MasterClub tracks I can use in place of the kit ones though.
David.

I think the Pershing, JSIII, and Centurion are better examples of prototypes for modern tanks. Although, the cast hull and turret designs of Pershings, Pattons, etc. have given way to welded panels of the Abrams. Maybe that's what ULIX - VM is referring to...?

The Tiger as cool as it looks did not have an advanced hull design. By that I mean it did not have sloped armour which other more advanced designs had like the Panther, T-34, sherman etc.

I would say the Panther was much more closer to being the prototype for the MBT, what with being designed as a "medium" tank yet possessing the power and tonnage that matched or exceeds comptemory heavy tanks.

Have to ignore the odd comments from that guy. I think he posts just to up his post count.

And is either too embarrassed or has too small a command of English to reply. Though I have to admit his English is getting better.
Maybe right now he's taking notes on what he learned from this spurious comment.

I seen a comparison with a Dragon kit somewhere, this kit ends up being shorter. Wheres that David guy, the Tiger expert? Which Tiger I kit is closest to scale? Plus with fewest inaccuracies?

Bleeeah. I read (on Czech model forum)a Afrika Tiger from Rye Field is piece of crap. Poor fitting, poor deailing. In last - DML Tigers are now very expensive, but still best Tiger´s on market. Fehrmann´s hybrid are unusual and i think a upgraded Academy mould (with Zimmerit in decals) are better choice (and price is low...)

Sometimes a model builder who can't glue two pieces together properly proclaims, "This kit is a piece of crap!". Let's just wait and see. Rye Fields previous Tiger releases, except for a few minor errors or omissions, weren't accused of being "a piece of crap".

I like irrelevant nonsense. I kind of come to look forward to what blatantly obvious or completely meaningless thing he will come up with. It is almost like he picks words totally at random and arranges them into vaguely relevant statements.

I think it would be cool to have a build of a depot scraped together tank/APC/vehicle. You could have early combined with mid or late components with different color parts and or non matching camo patterns/zim.

But DML 6608 Tiger I "Tunisia Inital" is more accurate. And 6820 Bovington "131" too. Both are more useable as RFM with short barrel (for example). Yup, but both are expensive as RFM. For me is Rommel´s Tiger a cult machine who createt a Tiger Legend and i bought a DML offer with love

What is meant by "short barrel"? All Tiger I's had the same caliber length barrel... didn't they?
