I´m using Voyager Models "US Army BFT & SincGar Unit" for my Bronco M1114 and need som help with how they are wired, radio, antenna, BFT, power, monitor, handset etc. The pictures I can find mostly shows the radio from the front and not att the other wiring.

Hope you can help me.

Torbjörn.

Check out my Cougar build blog and feature. Radio set up is the same in all US vehicles as far as what is hooked up. The only difference is where the cables are all routed. I also have great shots of actual SINCGAR radios over at Prime Portal.

Thanks. Behind the gunners platform, is there a storage rack for 40 mm ammo or the boxy (A/C?) thing in the Bronco kit? When looking at pictures of finished kits there are both.

The Academy M1151 kit comes with the ammo rack on top of the A/C unit, the Bronco kit just comes with the A/C unit. I just looked at my two kits to verify.

On the real M1114, which alternative is right? A/C, the rack, or both?

On M1114 - no A/C (Bronco's mistake), only a rack. On M1151 - A/C and very often a rack.

str72, the M1114 does have an A/C unit mounted on the back wall of the cabin, but not one on the floor between the seats. Legend Productions includes the proper A/C unit in the M1114 conversion for Tamiya's HMMWV kits, LF1203. They also include one in their small update for the Bronco M1114 in LF1218. LF1218 is very reasonably priced.

Eric

Thanks a lot, WXerock and tnkr101. The grey on the door, is that some kind of lining? Is the inside of the roof also grey?

Yes str72, it is a foam lining. It is more of a blackish gray than grey. I can't remember if it has a ballistic quality or not.

The foam does not have any ballistic properties. It is strictly for cushioning and dampening road noise.
