The painting is going well. One correction though. It looks like you painted too much of the metal wheel on the road wheels. The raised rim around the inner part is part of the metal wheel, not covered in rubber, like below.

Been to the Lima Tank Plant several times in the past, but never saw anything like the "Tusk Series". Last tanks I saw being built were the startup of the M1a2 series and a prototype turret that I don't think ever saw production. One place I never stepped foot in was the paint shop (different building). Yet I remember seeing a train load of M1a1's right outside of it. Every tank had an identical camo paint job! Always figured they used a robotic pain cell. My first thought on seeing them was that it looked like a train load of rattle snakes! Next time I was over there, tan was the color they were using.

Your paint job is very nice, and you should be proud of it. Somewhere in my stash of books is one with a lot of photos of this tank. I'll have to find it. I bought the RFM kit on Nickel's advice. I like it for a $59 outlay. Meng looks a little better, but not thirty dollars better! I at first planed on back dating it to an M1a2 or M1a1, may yet buy another kit for that project.

What shade did you use for filter? I prefer light brown and green shades for my NATO vehicles.

Looking great.
