It's hard to see in that pic what exactly it is. First I was thinking it looks like a rolled up stretcher but zooming in and its not. Hopefully someone here will point you in the right direction.

Oh and the box is looking nice


I was also thinking those were stretchers, maybe these are some bottles??

Man, just got back from Reno Air Races and catching up here with all the threads I am following. This is looking nice. You have done great work on this kit. I like the brass name plate on the base. Sure adds a nice touch
