Robert, first if all I'd like to say this looks fantastic so far. I like that you corrected the rear frame where it meets the bumper. I am frustrated that Bronco and Academy got this wrong when they got other things right. I also notice you changed the muffler. I have been unable to find clear photos of this area. What did you use for reference? Is the photo etch for the underside available commercially? I know that it is used by a few of you from Poland. It looks great. I like the work you did on the cabin wall and fire extinguisher. It all adds up to a very clean interior build.

Eric

Looking really nice so far. You sure are already on the roll. May I ask how makes those soda cans and water bottles boxes? I see Scorpion but not sure if that a company name. TIA

Very good job so far.
One question: why are you planning to use the Wind Mark bonnet and radiator ?
Isn't the bonnet of the Academy kit suitable for an M1151?

Robert, thanks for the information. I assumed it was all by one manufacture. I'll have to grab me some of these. Btw, great work on the inner roof Cannot wait to see more

Nice work on the turret. I like the extra detail you have scratch build into it.
Another question for you as I'm still trying to get familiar with this kit...why use the WM resin hood set? Is it just because it better detailed or is it because the kit part is wrong, like it suspension, and is a must add set to capture the accurate look? TIA

Let me answer. But let the photos answer first:

Of course You can see both grills moulded as a one piece elements with hood and front grill (no meshes). At the first link You'll find a comparison between real Humvee and Academy's model (headlights too low). At other links You'll see some shape mistakes. These mistakes are very small, so - in my opinion - there is no big need to buy WMM correction set. Upper grill can be replaced by a PE element, front one You can drill out and glue any mesh inside. But to capture the accurate look - You must answer yourself

Thanks again Kuba, those links with photos. They show exactly what you are saying very clearly. You are right as it's a small problem but if you want to make as accurate of a representation them it's a issue to be addressed. Of course, the other bad problem is...now I know the issue. So, it will be hard to ignore

Looking good Robert. It reminds me of a chick cage racks I have seen when I was a kid. The soda boxes sure add a splash of color and will set the model as whole apart from the rest.

Hi Rob,
Nice work so far.
Care to share what you are using to do the "chicken cage"? Is it some kind of mosquito/bug netting?
Thanks!

It's hard to see in that pic what exactly it is. First I was thinking it looks like a rolled up stretcher but zooming in and its not. Hopefully someone here will point you in the right direction.
Oh and the box is looking nice
