Hi Everyone

Well i been working on the model to correct my mistake, i still have a bit more to do but i found some pictures of tanks traveling along a road outside a village just like my model.
so now it is a single carriage way running between corn fields. hope you like it so far .
ossie

The correct German designation is Feldweg or Flurbereinigungsweg.

hi herman Thank you
Ossie

As an artlso having joined several Dutch leo units I hope to ease your 'bad feelings' about the base:
Since the business part of the tank is pointing outwards its normal width this suggests some exercise activities. This may have been in one of the many military training areas or during one of the FTX-s, mostly in the autumn in West Germany. In both cases the crew decided where to drive/stand. This could therefore be on any road side. There were only some strict safety rules to avoid conflicts with normal civil life. During 'normal' road movement the gun was either straight forward or over the engine deck. (So anything else is realistic. I recall one exercise in 1980 where we unluckily ended up in a villa's garden, having missed a small fence during the rainy November night).
So, in all ways your start was perfect. The only add you may consider is some damage to the road due to the tracks movement. Many of us who served in Germany will remember the nibbled road sides, suffering the passage of hundreds of tracks of all sorts.

Great build, thanks for sharing and steering up good memories,

P.
