Thot I would share some pics of Tamiya's old SdKfz 251/9 Ausf D Kanonenwagen I just completed for the Tamiya Campaign. I built it pretty much OOB except for some added radio details and Dragon tracks (it was a $5 special and missing the tracks). I should have used some newer decals as the 30 year old ones just wouldn't set properly and still have some silvering no matter how much solvaset I used...Painting is with Tamiya paints, hairspray chipping, weathered with oils and pigments. The front wheels look a bit gimpy or is that just me?

Looks great, but you're right...looking a bit lame in that front leg. Hit a pothole really hard?

Nice job! The wear & tear and splattered mud look just right, not overdone. I wouldn't stress that front wheel. I can imagine some of the guys driving these things confused themselves as riding in tanks and went thru/over places they shouldn't have gone.

Always got a kick out of model contest judges being alignment specialists..
Like they were driven soooo carefully...

"The wheel looks bent"
"Of course it's bent, we just drove through a friggin barn."

Yeah, like they keep the caster, camber, and toe-in of every wheeled military vehicle in a little notebook in their pocket, and they can eyeball the angle in 1/35 scale!

Very nice build and finish Colin. I especially like the mud spatters.
