What company does the photo etch??

...did some painting - Mr Hobby "SAIL".. not sure its the worlds best... anyone got a good medium to thin Mr Hobby? Tamiya thinner perhaps?

Thanks Paul. Mine is a Libya based vehicle but going off MAFVA site that could be Portland stone ( mine is too dark i know) and green or black or brown or slate grey... I am taking artistic license i am afraid

If you are looking at the Middle East October 1942 patters, where the slate, brown, black or green are acceptable disruptives, the underlying vehicle basic colour is supposed to be Desert Pink, not Slate.

By April 43 the basic colour was supposed to be Light Mud.

All through 1942 the base colour could be Light Stone or Portland Stone, but the diruptives should be slate, black or silver grey.

There really isn't a time when it should be Portland Stone and brown.

However, if you like it as it is, then it's certainly good enough for me as it's your model and this is a hobby. Just trying to pass on the information that you can then choose to use as you like. :-)

And, BTW, that's not a bad shade of Portland Stone. A touch dark as you say, but an overspray of a lightened version could rectify that and provide a useful modulation effect.
