Almost look like updated sculpts of ICM's first figure set. The crude SS infantry at Kursk.

Complete with a pointing guy!

Could this be a counterpoint to MASTER BOX' new "Early German Infantry" set..?

Should prove to be popular. Perhaps DRAGON may even bring back their "BARBAROSSA, 1941" German Infantry set, which was a nice figure set...

Little known German WWII operational procedure was that one man in every four always had to be pointing at all times. Battle focused operational tactical doctrine. One man in four points so everyone else remains focused.

I am a fan of ICM figures and I have seen how far they have come with their WW1 figures sets and the exceptional WW2 Indian troop set. Looking at these figures though suggests too me that they are not of the same standard and high level of detail to which I have become accustomed to from ICM.

That's what you would call "German thoroughness". So, in a set of 8 WWII German Infantry figures engaged in combat, there should be TWO "Pointers"; in a dio of 12 Germans engaged in the same activity, THREE "Pointers", and so on down the line. My goodness! That means, if a modeller should undertake building a huge dio of 100 German Infantrymen, there should be TWENTY-FIVE "POINTERS" included in the festivities!!!

My whole attitude towards creating WWII German Infantry dios has CHANGED!!! Now I know what to do with my huge stock of left-over German "POINTERS"!!!

OK set. The poses are unimaginative. They can probably be re- worked with other kits. I'll get them for the parts.

Haha @ M4A1Sherman, yes the pointing german. It is a secret that was stolen from the allies as "Top Secret". It is the most fersome weapon in the world. Only NorthVietnam used it.. Luckily they did not know how to use it right. Thats why the world still exists.

I also think that is is easy to produce some new figures that have not been molded by XXX other manufacturers. the 2 Landser in the back are part of the 4 figure set "Barbarossa" from Dragon and the Officer with the map.. well. ICM even did that themself. I sure like that new figures are comming , on the same side I an a little disappointed in the variety of poses. They look really good sculted. I will buy a set. They will add up nice to the mentioned Figures from Dragon.

Hello, Max!

I agree! Even though 2 of the figures look a bit "steiff", I will probably buy a set of these, too. Have you seen the new MASTER BOX WWII German Infantry set (5 Figures) Early Period, 1939-1942?

I just noticed on Hobbylink Japan's website, ICM also has a WWII Japanese set of 4 figures coming in Dec. These are welcome. No picture of the figures themselves - just a real picture of Japanese soldiers. Hopefully no pointers.

These look rather thick in terms of detailing or is it just the photos?

The officers remind me of Tamiya figures, but I like the machine-gunner with the ammo belt and his No 2 with the ammo boxes
