OH. This should be fun watching bolt counters tear this one apart as Black Label has not really been the most accurate. I will probably get one as its the only game in town and probably WILL be the only game in town.

I'm definitely in for one no matter the verdict but this is kinda old news... It's been announced sometime back and the only new thing is that they might've updated the CADs to (hopefully) be more accurate.

It's an early production slick M48 hull with the drop driver's periscopes. Could we be seeing a M48 slick soon?

The T54E2s sported conventional Turrets- Does anyone think that BLACK PLA- er, BLACK LABEL will also offer -E2s in the future..? I'll read the review/build articles before I make a decision to buy one...
From the CAD images and drawings, they are -trying- to depict the oscillating turret.
But due to the material I assume they are using for the "canvas", I'm pretty sure that you'll be only able to display the turret in a single -and almost fixed- elevation position...
I also read reviews and opinions of the people "in the know" before deciding about a new kit, but in this case I may get one of these anyway, since it's a unique subject and I doubt other manufacturers will ever release one.

There is a hope that this is actually the first reasonably good Black Label kit. The hull is based on their pretty good M48A1 kit hull (designed with the assistance of yours truly 
) and the turret design has been totally reworked using the information provided by Ron Volstad. And it looks really good in these new CAD images (unlike the previously shown ones, which were horribly bad).

Look at the box top, the crew are wearing World War II tanker's helmets, probably with boom mics and field jackets. Most World War II figures would be appropriate. Also green versions of the tanker's jackets were private purchase "at the discretion of the commander" items. So the 1950-1960 US tanker could look almost identical in 1/35 to his World War II counterpart except for army green rather than khaki and brown.

I'm really glad to hear that they reworked their design, maybe this will be a turning point for the Black Label series. I hope so, they do some great subjects, I have been interested in every one of the tank kits they have released, but have stayed away because of the reviews, only time will tell, I've got my fingers crossed!

Dragon is allways teasing us with those lovely boxarts from Ron Volstad. Pity we don't have a M38 kit to enjoy. If it was included in the box, I would gladly buy the T54E1 just to get the Jeep!

No kit of it, but it can be made. There is a Plus Model conversion to cosmetically make one out of a Willys MB. To do it correctly takes a bit more effort, check mine out here.
