The most recent kit from Dragon is a T54E1, a U.S. post WWII tank -not to be confused with the Russian T-54.

The kit is part of the Black Label series.
Development of the type was initiated in 1951, with the T54 representing a series of three prototypes that featured new 105mm-gunned turrets on the existing M48 Patton chassis.

The T54E1 had an oscillating turret with autoloader. The turret had a nine-round drum autoloader under the 105mm T140E2 gun.

Dragon's kit shares some of the features of previous M48 models, but the upper hull has actually been completely redone because it bears different details compared to the M48A1.
Also the turret is completely new, and the complex shape with both rounded and flat surfaces has been particularly well done. The canvas used to protect the oscillating design of the turret is portrayed in DS, so as the tracks.

That unit is defective. Its thinking is chaotic. Absorbing it unsettled me. [/quote]

Dragon is allways teasing us with those lovely boxarts from Ron Volstad. Pity we don't have a M38 kit to enjoy. If it was included in the box, I would gladly buy the T54E1 just to get the Jeep!

No kit of it, but it can be made. There is a Plus Model conversion to cosmetically make one out of a Willys MB. To do it correctly takes a bit more effort, check mine out here.

Didn't AFV Club announce a new M38 numerous months ago or am I mistaken?

AFV Club did make a few versions in the 90s.

I've had this on pre-order since last year...hopefully I'll be see it soon. I was thinking of making it into a M54A1 with a M68 105mm and bits from a M60/48...I'd like to get a diesel engine deck to put on it! Maybe a dualtex camo or the loud 7th Army camo scheme on it

They had an M38A1 and M38A1C.... nothing like the M38. Gino's link covers that.

No, they announced M37.
