The next question is who's will be the better kit. Roden's or AFV's. With Rodens you won't have to wait for winter. The after market items for the M-37 should be interesting. Hard top, soft top for the cab, canvas cover for the cargo box.

One needs to remember that the M37 truck was actually the most common truck in the U.S. military from the very early 1950's till the Humvee. Virtually every company in Vietnam had several, and probably similar in Korea. The kit was twenty years over due! Not sure which model Roden is doing, and also where AFV's fits in there. Lets hope that one is an early model for Korea, and the other fits the Vietnam era. Now if we can get AFV to model the M54 truck!!! gary

A couple of post may have gotten off the subject of the release of the M-37.But it's great to see AFV pick up where Skybow left off on the Dodge truck's. When Skybow started releasing the WC trucks I was also waiting for the release of the WC-54. ( I just had to put that in )

Both are later B1 version.

I feel fooled by AFV Club. AFV Club had the chance to release this kit for years. But they didn't. Now, shortly after the release of Roden's kit comes this announcement. What a surprise. This behavior seems to me known from another kit manufacturer. They had to learn their lessons and it looks to me that it is now AFV Club's turn. That's not the way i like to be treated as costumer. So my money went to Roden. After a quick comparison of some parts like engine or susspension of the M37 from Roden with the WC51/52 from AFV Club i think the dimensions are nearly equal. But to my opinion the parts of the roden M37 are more detailed and "crisper". The tires of the Roden kit seem to by too small in diameter compared to the AFV kit but this need to be checked by measurement. I think i've got a good value for my money. Happy modelling Harald
