The Pak 40 began development when news of a new Russian tank designs had come to the German's attention. The Pak 35/36 proved to be ineffective against the strong Soviet tanks. This called for a bigger more powerful gun. Hence, the Pak 40. The Pak 40 fired a 7.5cm round. It had the ability to be towed and was incorporated into various tank destroyers like the Marder III.

Hasn't this kit -or a version of it- been out for at least a decade? Still, a good kit and a great addition to any dio. If it is the same one as their earlier release it also came packaged with a 251 as the towing vehicle. Nice!
Yes this is indeed a re-release and none the worse for it. It is a very good if somewhat delicate kit. If you really want to spice it up, AFV Club also released a set of turned brass rivets for the shield at the time of the original release!
