Hi all
Every year when I'm on holiday I take a kit with me, this year it's the Tiger Models Nagmachon.
First impressions are similar to others, this has a fair resemblance to a Tamiya kit. 28 sprues, a pe fret and decals fill the box.
Parts fit so far is good, no major problems as yet.
Pete

Good luck! I've found this kit very good, had loads of fun during the build. Make sure you're using the bigger "droid", as the second one significantly smaller (presumably 1/48 scale).

Nice job on a very nice kit... Just a small suggestion if I may.. masking the windows before cementing them will save you a lot of headache

You know I never even thought of that. I have a set of masks here from D&n.

Make sure that the decals you're supposed to apply onto the rubber mudguards match the number plate. Mine did not (one digit was different), and it was spotted too late... Hope Tiger Model corrected the problem since then.

Well folks, I'm impressed with this kit. The instructions shout "Tamiya" as soon as you look at them. The only downside is the pin marks shown in the previous post. Then next few pics will show the part that I was not looking forward to, attaching the bar armour.
Some of the panels are only test fitted for now.

That's a fast build! You'd better stay in front of your computer if you don't want to already miss the painting

To be honest I have spent most of the last 2 days on the build, normally this would take at least a week.. It has gone together well but painting it with a hairy stick has been fun, getting into all the nooks and crannies.

Great job so far.. and real quick!
You know, some Mr Hobby Surfacer would be great for those pin marks.. lot less sanding when dry... I hope I have a little left for when I do mine
Looking forward to seeing it done

I really enjoyed building this kit. I feel like getting the early version as well. When does it come out?

To be honest I don't have any. The holes look ok once sanded and painted. I keep finding little nooks etc that need painting.

I started on the first one - with the dog house - but I had to wait for a long time to get the AFV Club workable tracks, then I got bogged down with work.. but I do have a couple of days off coming up.. so, I hope I'll finish it then.
I'm thinking about getting this other one too.. I have become one of the biggest fans of Tiger-Model kits in general.. both quality and subject matter

Agreed. I was waiting for a long time for the Nagmachon in styrene. Now they've got not one, but two versions! I was surprised too by the overall quality of the kit, plus the price wasn't bad neither! It's strange however, the early version does not appear on Tiger Models's website... not even in the "News" section...

Well, that's just because a lot of these modelling companies have been concentrating mostly on their Facebook pages because they figure they can reach a much wider audience there.. and it's much easier to update.. and doesn't require any maintenance and all that... I know a lot of guys here are set against FB, but there's really not much that one can do about it, that's just where the vast majority are going... You can meet a lot of modelers.. you can find all these companies' pages.. there are a lot of research groups for all kinds of modelling.. you can chat with modelers like Mig and Charlie Pritchet who is with Takom now and give him ideas and suggestions... Anyway, I don't want to sound like I get some percentage from FB for new members To each his own

I must admit that until I got into modelling IDF subjects I'd never heard of Tiger Models. Having built the late Nagmachon I will happily build another. I am thinking about building the Hobby boss Nagmachon just for a comparison.

I don't think anyone has...As far as I know, it's a fairly new company based in Hong-Kong.
