Oh, boy...That G-6 is a must have...
The M113 seems to be quiet generous with accessories: M16's, M60's, M14's (including one with telescopic sight), Jerry cans, ammo boxes...
Thanks Hisham, great stuff as always !

YES!!! GREAT STUFF!!! Thanks, Hisham!

Since I am an avid "Wing-Thing" builder, would you have any info on the 1/48(?)/1/72(?) T-2 Buckeye US NAVY/US MARINES Jet Trainer and the "F-19" conceptual "Stealth Fighter", pictured just prior to your last two photos..?

I'm REALLY excited about the AFV CLUB M113 ACAV and the M728! Also, TAMIYA's M40!

Incidentally, there is also a CAR-15 pictured in the photo showing the sprue of the "hand-held" weapons contained in the AFV CLUB M113 ACAV...

LOT'S of possibilities for the dio builders who would like to show their M728 with any one of AFV CLUB's M60-series kits!!!

I'm afraid not, Dennis... the gentleman I'm getting these pics from is Hyun Jin Kim of DEF Models, so he's interested in AFV's... Maybe one of the guys here will find something on the aircraft kits

OK, Thanks, anyway!

Incidentally, some of the other modellers on this site have wondered whether TAMIYA was going to mold the M40 Crew as representatives of WWII or Korean War Artillerymen- Judging from their uniforms and boots shown in the pics, I'm inclined to think that the Crew is more likely of the Korean War variety..?

That T-72B2 is also a very nice looking piece!

The inclusion of those IMI Tavors with the "Rochev" is odd, as IDF artillery crewmen (AFAIK) use the M4's...

The M40 is definitely Korea. Those markings are from a well known unit.

As far as all the small arms; don't get too hung up on who has what as it looks like they're just being generous with accessories. About time we got a whole new generation of small arms in styrene.

Yepp, perhaps those parts are being used for other AFV Club IDF kits as well...Having said that, the M4 is the right choice of personal weapon displayed with the "Rochev", as the "Tavor" is mainly used by infantry/special ops. units.

The Japanese sign next to it says it's for Magach 6, not 7.

Hi, Steve!

I just happened to remember that some of the modellers on this site were wondering about the Crew, and not the M40, in and of itself- Certain manufacturers have made mistakes before in including Crew members clad in uniforms of the wrong type or time period in some of their models. Just thought I'd mention that the uniforms in TAMIYA's M40 seem to be correct for the Korean War era.

Not getting hung up on weapons, as far as the AFV CLUB M113 ACAV is concerned, either. I too, am happy that AFV CLUB is being generous with extra parts- It simplifies things for us a little bit. Just thought I'd mention that the CAR-15 is THERE, that's all- Interesting weapon; I always liked the look of the CAR-15...

AGREE- It IS about time that we got a whole new generation of weapons, especially those of the Vietnam War era!

Lots of great stuff coming out. My wallet is already weeping. I hope Tamiya offers the Korean War gun crew as a separate kit. Those figures look like they could work for quite a few guns. I hope Tamiya includes other decals for the M40 as well. Those specific vehicles are two of the same options in the AFV Club M40 as well.

"Men of the 937th Field Artillery Battalion, attached to the 96th Field Artillery Battalion, US Eighth Army, fire their M40 155mm Self-propelled gun at Yanggu, Korea, 30 June 1951 :"

Full size

The other M40 pictured in Hisham's post (thanks for posting Hisham ), "Courageous Confederate”, belonged to the same unit. The 937th Field Artillery Battalion from the Arkansas National Guard was proudly known as the "Arkansas Long Toms".

Hi, Gino!

I hear you about your wallet weeping! Mine just had heart-failure!

I really DO want the new AFV CLUB M113 ACAV, M728, and TAMIYA's new M40. Time WAS, when I could buy all three in one purchase; those days are over with, now that I'm on a limited income...

What's the one between the T-72BV and the Rochev? That looks pretty interesting. I like building the unique stuff. I like it when people see mine on the table and say, "What the Hell is THAT?!"
