Hi, I'm currently working on a 3D printed radio set for the 1/16 Trumpeter M-ATV MRAP which I plan to make into a resin kit, similar to the existing 1/35 set that is no longer in production. The problem I have is getting each radio scaled correctly so they will fit into the interior. I don't presently own the MRAP model, so if anyone who owns the kit or is building it now would be interested in helping me scale and print these out I can send a few of the final cast sets, plus low resolution test prints that I'll send to test the scales are correct. I use a Flashforge Dreamer for test prints and an Ultimaker 2+ for the final prints.
If you are reliable and interested please contact me!

Lloyd

I can't help w/the scaling and sizes, but do you also plan on doing them in 1/35? Since Pro Art is gone, these would be a great replacement for them.

I agree with Gino.. if you can also do these in 1/35, a lot of people will want them.

I remember one of the guys here was doing a build log for Trumpeter's 1/16 M-ATV.. try to search for that.

Here you go ... try and contact Donald. I know he's already built it, but maybe he can help.

Thanks, I may have to buy it and build it. I'd like some shots of the finished build with the radios inside.

Be careful of the wires on the Harris (?) radio. They look very thin.

I have the kit Lloyd, what do you need to make it accurate? Measurements? I will be interested in couple off these set. Have you consider other items in 1/16? Wheels, weapons, cargo, etc...ideas can be endless and most can be used in MaxxPro kit as well.

Thanks Michael, I was planning to thicken those slightly and add a support piece in the center that can be removed. Surprisingly the flashforge printed one of the handles ok, but it would have been difficult to cast in resin I think.

I have some basic measurements of the shelf heights but I will need to test them with the MRAP model to be sure of the scale before I make moulds. I'm open to any suggestions for A/M updates for the MRAP.
