Good job Marcos.
Here is her sister!

Take note that the .50 MG barrel carrying handle is removed, at least in the French army. The MG barrel is slightly warped, you should straighten it. Personnally I would leave the tools in a single color.

Excellent job, Marcos! Did you ever find out what those two parts were?

Hi Marcos, some photos of mine VPS. I built it in one-tone camouflage.

Thank you Olivier, john, and Andre.
I think you are right Olivier, in my reference pictures there is no barrel carrying handle. Didn't think of it. I will clip it. As for the mg barrel I tried to straighten it with boiling water till it looked ok. I guess it went back a little to its original warping. And Andre yours looks fully loaded for combat! What did you use for cammo netting?

Marcos, I used camouflage netting from Arkebusa. I tried from echelon decals but it is too fragile. This from Arkebusa is awesome. I recommend.

Thanks Andre. I did use the Echelon one, and also found it was way too fragile.

And Olivier, I painted the brown camo over the tools because that is the way it was on many of my reference pictures:

And John, I think those two little parts were in fact the jerrycan caps.

I see. Those pics were taken during our National Day (14th of July) parade hence the tools camoed like the rest of the vehicle. So your model is correct.
But I can tell it is not standard in the French army in "normal" conditions.

Thanks Olivier for sharing your expertice on the french army. I will definetly take it into account for my next French army model. Because, coincidentally, besides the Mexican nationality I also have the French!

Next project: I have to decide whether the LMV Lince from Italieri, the T-90MS from Trumpy, RSOV Land rover from Hobby Boss with Black dog crew, Ford f-350 from Meng as Mexican federal police, or go back to my Afghanistan diorama to redo, because I don´t like how it turned out. Choices, choices!

Very nice job!

Did you make the markings yourself (rear license plate)?

Cheers,

Christophe

Thank you Christophe. Yes, I made the rear plate using the decals provided on the Revell kit. Yellow square cut from decal, then used the single numbers and the tiny blue stripe from the Dutch flag. And the number coincides with the real number of a VPS in one of my reference pictures.
