Pete - I did notice the "radio", not sure what it is supposed to be. I have a resin SINCGARS that I will put in it.
I guess I am a glutton for HEMTT punishment. Tonight, I started converting the left over Italeri kit into an M983 using the left over Trumpeter parts. It will be getting the Real Model engine and an Eduard PE set for the cab interior as well. I also had been working on a build review of the Dragon PATRIOT PAC-3 that I just submitted today. The M983 and the PATRIOT will go together...eventually.

I have completed the interior painting and decals on the cab. All the decals are from the Trumpeter M983 kit. They are quite complete and look very good. I replaced the kit radio with a SINCGARS ASIP, handset, and speakerbox from the now-OOP Pro Art set. I am glad I have a few of these since no one else makes just a SINCGARS set.

I like your cab interior, I was just added the decals to mine last night. I wish I had all the extra decals that you did. On that note, I know a lot of people may not know it here ,but I draw for a airplane decal company called Vagabond Decals. I am seriously thinking of producing a decal sheet this summer that corrects all the decals in the Trumpeter M983 and Patriot kit and maybe for some other modern trucks too.
But back to your build, I'm loving it and I can't wait to see the finished model.

Vince, a few sheets for truck interiors and common placards would be great. The kit decals are usually lacking in these areas.

Love the interior....especially the vehicle sn stenciled on the door. Outstanding.....just need some dirt on the floor & a log book in the glove box opening!!!

The cab extension is underway. I have added 10mm to the rear of the cab, which is a storage are for crew gear on the actual vehicle. I think it is coming along nicely.

The way I plan on doing the sheet, it will have 3 or 40 sets for decals so you can do more then one truck per sheet. I also my expand on it to cover M923s,FMTVs and other trucks that need decals. Also I'd like to add sets of bumper codes for real units and decals to cover conversions.
Its going to take a lot of research so it my be the end of summer before I have the artwork ready. Also I plan for this to be a real decal sheet printed by Chartagraph ,not dry transfers. when I get home tonight I'll start a trade on the subject.

As you may have read, I am building this truck as an artillery Bn supply vehicle. As such, the flatrack needs to be full of 155mm rounds. The flatrack holds 176 complete rounds (rounds, powder cans, and fuse cans) on 8-round pallets. As you can image, I need a bunch of ammo sets. Does anyone have any 155mm ammo and 8-round pallets they can spare? I'll take all you have and have lots to trade or can pay for them. Let me know what you have.

Nice pics...who said today's army is all software and electronic advancements...nothing like a 5 ton unloading one crate at a time! Makes an ammo drop soooooo much easier.

Inert training/practice powder canisters. They are the same weight as an actual powder canister so you can simulate an actual load. Usually, any light/medium blue munition is an inert training/practice round.
