Wow, in the second set of photos, the one for the T-55, is that empty shell cases used as stand-off armor?
Also just an observation, are the Syrians and Israelis using parts from the same supplier? Cause that ball and chain hanging on some of the armoured vehicles looks exactly like the ball and chain used on the turret bustle on the Merkava tanks. I mean exactly like.
Unless of course the Syrians just have ample supplies of these ball and chains lying around from all the Merkava tanks theyve destroyed...

I don't know what they are, but they're probably filled with stones or concrete...

Well, they're apparently learning from their enemies...

The kill ratio tends to lean the opposite direction...

Just as an aside, the T-55 listed in the original post looks like it is actually a T-62. I know it is hard to tell, but the barrel has the bore evacuator halfway down, rather than at the front...

You're right. Actually it's not that hard to tell...I should've noticed the wheel spacing...Thanks for the correction, anyway!

While some of the vehicles seems.... a little odd (to say the minimum), others can turn in very interesting subjects. The idea of the T-72 and BMP can be render a great building.

chain looks mostly like chain and a ball is usually like any other ball (though some balls can not be compared to other balls but that is another story).
Weld a short piece of standard chain to a steel/iron ball and you end up with some ball-&-chain. The hightech part is to come up with the original idea
Empty shell cases to detonate some types of anti-tank weapons a bit to early and make them less effective ?
Well, .... it might work, ... at least it might improve the morale of those sitting inside that turret ...
I would prefer to increase the standoff distance by adding some sort of bracing structure between the turret shell and the empties ....

The BMP could be an easy "conversion"...
