Can anyone tell me what is the guy standing on? Is he in the Humvee hatch opening or standing on the turret roof?
Cheers,
Mario
Thanks for the quick reply guys.
I also think he is in the hatch opening. As the gunner's sling in the turret is not fixed, I suppose it would not be advisable to stand on it? Is adding the boxes for gunner to stand on usual practice inside the Humvee?
Mario
I won't say it's usual or standard but our equipment was mounted between the seats, under the hatch. So adding a metal plate to the top of it to protect it from the feet of the gunners, did give them something to stand and put us just about that high out of the hatch. It was almost as tall as the VRC 47 in it's rack if not a bit taller. Each vehicle was different as each was a custom fit.

I'm building such USMC M1114 with MCTAGS turret and MAK armor, so can anybody help me with interior photos of Marine M1114? I've got almost 100 exteriors shots made of every angle, but not a single interior photo...
