I'm writing a review on Live Resin's MCTAGS USMC figure and found this photo which probably inspired the sculptor:



Can anyone tell me what is the guy standing on? Is he in the Humvee hatch opening or standing on the turret roof?

Mario, if soldier stand on roof edge, board will be on cener of leg (knee level), see picture
Probably soldier stand on hatch hole on something inside a vehicle.
We offer a two variants - legs stay on a belt for sitting located on hatch hole (included in set) or boxes - support for legs in this position - set LRE35288

the one on the right is standing...
the one on the left is kneeling...(look close - you can see his boot..)

Thanks for the quick reply guys.

I also think he is in the hatch opening. As the gunner's sling in the turret is not fixed, I suppose it would not be advisable to stand on it? Is adding the boxes for gunner to stand on usual practice inside the Humvee?

I won't say it's usual or standard but our equipment was mounted between the seats, under the hatch. So adding a metal plate to the top of it to protect it from the feet of the gunners, did give them something to stand and put us just about that high out of the hatch. It was almost as tall as the VRC 47 in it's rack if not a bit taller. Each vehicle was different as each was a custom fit.

I'm building such USMC M1114 with MCTAGS turret and MAK armor, so can anybody help me with interior photos of Marine M1114? I've got almost 100 exteriors shots made of every angle, but not a single interior photo ...

In which situation the gunner uses the turret seat ?



Does this seat always present in vehicles ?

Some vehicles also have ammunition can brackets there. He could potentially be standing on MK. 19 or .50 cal ammo cans.

Thanks H.P. I've got this photo but as You can see the interior is hardly visible at it Of course I can imagine that it will be almost the same as a regular Army M1114 (with SINCGARS radio and BFT device), but I just want to have even a glimpse of any additional stuff stowed inside and expecially to see how the Chameleon steereing unit is mounted and connected...
