OK cool makes sense. Thanks for the info. It was so many years ago I built that Eidai kit that my 'reference' was the box top art! Maybe an update will be in my future!

Pre-ordered mine just now from LuckyModel for $73 + shipping. Not too bad for a model of this size.

Yep, with shipping to the US it looks like about $93. Not cheap, but akin to some of the kits out there today.

Well, the resin Meilerwagen from Wespe Models will run you about $70 all by itself.

Yep, I'm not complaining about the price, I think three separate kits in the box for $93 is not bad-- I wonder if they will offer the Meillerwagen separately. I know the SS100 goes for about $44, I see the V2 will sell for about $18. All three in a box average out to be about $31 each including shipping-- really not a bad price considering the cost of many of the new Dragon, AFV Club, or Trumpeter tank prices. I applaud Takom for getting a kit out that plastic modelers have asked for for years a have wanted for years now.

Italeri makes a refueling truck which could be adapted, most of the half-track and wheeled types are readily available too, albeit some with resin add-on shelters. Really the only four items missing that can't be readily procured in plastic are the armored control vehicle, the LOX tank trailer, the towed fuel trailer and the Vidalwagen-- There were no radars used in the V2 guidance system, its guidance and arming system were provided by on-board gyroscope and ground radio.

There is a very fine conversion set for the SD Kfz 7 in to a Feurleitwagen from Leadwarior.
The towedfuel trailer was never a part of the V-2 batterie vehiciles columm The germans did use two Opeltankers of 2900liter or one with 3500liter of B-stoff (alcohol)to load a rocket.Radar was just in use for measuring and flight tracking.
The rocket had no radio arming system.
The rocket had two radio systems one for engine cut-off the so called BS or Brenschluss, and one guilding system called LS or Leitstrahl.
See also the V2rocket.com website of Tracy Dungan.

Greetings to you all

Bert

PS maybe we can make a special building forum for this model to help and advice each other.

Pictures of the sprue's can be seen on the website of Lucky- Models as of today. This is a model that needs some updating sets for the small details. Greetings Bert

10 Reasons To Stop Collecting Models Kits...

1. Collections hold little monetary value
2. Collections go relatively unused
3. Collections sit in boxes or on shelves.
4. Collections take up extra space
5. Collections quickly lead to clutter.
6. Collections can be expensive.
7. Collections cost money.
8. Collections can lead to hoarding.
9. Collections keep you attached.
10. Collections are material things.

I can't wait to get my hands on one...
