and, amazingly, there is a resin conversion of this available on FB. I'll look for it and post a link, if anyone is interested.

For those of you brave enough to try an oldie, Skif does (did ?) a 1/35 scale model of this.
On another note for those of you in the know to help my idle curiosity, why does the SLA paint their armour in that shade of blue ?.
Anything Will Fit If You Use A Big Enough Hammer !!
If you produce it in Injection Moulded Plastic SOMEONE is bound to buy it !

I was wondering too...maybe to help identifying friendly vehicles among the hordes of armed militias? Or simply the blue was the only acceptable paint available in large quantities...? Blend in with the horizon? Just guessing here...

I was thinking the same thing too one time but after looking at some SLA Tiran 4 and 5s painted like this,it does seem to blend in with the environment very well.

Lebanon is a mostly mountainous country. AFV's standing on hill/mountain tops (where most IDF/SLA strongholds were located) would blend into the horizon. That would be my best uneducated guess...

The resin conversion is by Kassis Productions, as in Samer Kassis, the well known author of books on Lebanese vehicles. It's available from KMT.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Kassis APC-55 conversion. I bought the Skif kit, then sold it again when I realised how crude it was. I've been planning to scratch a conversion ever since. I've just this minute bought one from the linked website, 1-35models. €45 inc tax: guess that's not bad for a complete turret. Brucie Bonus - they had the Tiger early Nagmachon reduced to €43. About the same price as from the Far East with shipping, and no UK customs worries. A few other bits and pieces and the shipping was only €18, which worked out at €1.50 an item. Bargain!

I've actually built this SKIF kit back in 2014-2015.
Kylie, Thanks for the plug, mate.
http://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/219323#1843931I bought it at a show for a good discount price and I'm glad I did. As,
Das_Abteilung, describes it is a very crude kit. I would only recommend picking one up and building it
IF you get it at a low price. It is a fun and interesting subject in plastic.
i watched a scale plastic figure crawl along the edge . . . of an exacto blade . . . that's my dream , it's my nightmare . . . . . . . crawling , slithering . . . . . along the edge . . . . . . of an exacto . . . . . blade . . . . and surviving

I picked up the Skif kit cheaply too from a store in Kiev I use a bit (www.hobby.dn.ua). I'd more hoped that I could nick some bits from it to build onto a Tamiya Tiran, but the parts were so over-simplified and inaccurate it wasn't really worth bothering. Now I'm waiting for the long-promised MiniArt T-54 and T-55. I passed up on the Takom ones after some build reviews slated the wheel construction with awkward join lines. They're tantalising us with the progression through the real tank's evolution. I read somewhere ages ago that the PLO had some T-54-2 back in the 70's, but can't find the reference now.

BTW, 1-35models are the first place I've seen advertising the new Dragon IDF M3 half track. Showing as in stock, which I somehow doubt. But €70? Really..............?

KoSprueOne, pleasure mate, as I'd fleetingly contemplated buying one so that I could scale it up to 1/16 and slap in on the Hooben T55 I have in the stash... and the local hobby shop has the Mig (I think) book on the Tiran APC. Would make for an interesting conversion.
