Hi, Kurt!

AGREE, especially after our numerous posts regarding the negative likelihood of "all-new, state-of-the-art" WWII/US/Allied subjects in 1/35 ever being released...

Well, you two just keep on posting while I'm busy building my "all-new, state-of-the-art" Yak-3, P39Q, OS2U Kingfisher, B-17E, D0 335, King Tiger with interior, etc.

Hi Dennis, if Xact scale is still in business, maybe this kit announcement will motivate them to release their kit

Hi, John!

Yeah, maybe. But I'm not gonna hold my breath. Would be nice to compare BOTH kits' merits and warts, once they are actually released, IF that actually comes to pass...

Hello Again, Shell!

FYI- I'm PRIMARILY a 1/48 Aircraft-builder, and a "high-end" HO brass and multi-medium Steam-era modeller and collector, among other things. I model other diverse subjects, such as 1/48-120mm Figurines, and I place higher priorities on my 1/24-1/25 Classic Automobile collection, and my 1/25 1970s-era Dirt Modified Race Cars. 1/35 AFVs and Soft-skins actually come in at a paltry FIFTH PLACE in my modelling efforts, my scenic photography notwithstanding. My postings on ARMORAMA just happen to be incidental...

PS- See my post in this very thread, regarding my VERY SHORT description of my 1/48 GREAT WALL "Midway" TBD-1 Devastator. I chose to build ENS Gay's TBD-1...

I saw your description of that kit, but I don't build 1/48.

Hey, Shell!!!

Yeah, I realize that now, but didn't when I posted my original 1/48 GREAT WALL TBD-1 piece. You didn't note which scale you build your Aircraft in, so I was only offering a suggestion for you, in all good will.

I'm sure that your 1/32 Devastator will be coming right along...

Good Luck, and if we don't communicate in the meantime, have a

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

PS- Was your area in Georgia affected by the wildfires? I hope not...

Well, if Trumpeter doesn't come through there is always Kitty Hawk, HKM, or Zoukei-Mura possibly.

I built the Monogram 1/48 version back in ages past.

As for the fires, we got air quality alerts but that was about it. Air sucks here anyway so didn't notice; always feel like I live downwind from a ConEdison facility and I am 40 miles outside of Atlanta.

And happy Thanksgiving to you, too.

Monogram came out with a Devastator a long time ago. Good kit.

Maybe I just send Trumpeter my credit card number, a nice note that says 'modern Russian please', and my address to cut out the middle man??

Did I notice a Stryker mortar carrier in 1/72 scale in the catalogue? If so, then woo hoo.

I don't think Trumpeter will "mix" scales on the same pages of the catalogue. That is likely a 1/35 scale kit.

I'm giddy with anticipation for the HIMARS and the Frog-7. What I'd really like is for Trumpy to come up with a M667 Lance missile kit! I know there's a resin kit of the Lance but I don't think anyone has done a 1/35 kit in plastic.
