Thanks for the comments. Some progress on the troops. Initial paint applied. More adjustments to come.

Very nice! I've been thinking about getting the Tamiya SU, and this thread has made me go for it.

Dear Greg,
Thanks for sharing your build.
Maybe something to consider:
It looks like a sniper fired at the VW: it shows only holes in the windows!
Maybe you should shoot again at the body as well?
P.

Paul, thanks for looking. Take a minute and look back at the photos. There are holes in the body on the drivers side. At least three.

The wall section came from a line of Row Houses I used to produce. It's actually the second story of one of those buildings.
They were from the old Dutton Enterprises line of building fronts.
They are no longer produced and OOP.

It was Dutton Enterprises on the original box. Jose, thanks for the memory prompt.

Weekend Update. I was able to attach the plaster sidewalks and the the cobble stone street. The building is just sitting there for the photo. Paint for the street, building and street are up next. Almost forgot, the Manhole, drain and yet to be seen Fire Hydrant are from and old set I have from Caliber35. The street cobble stones are from Tiger Productions.

Some paint applied to pretty much everything, no weathering yet. The fence element was stained brown and some dabs of liquid masking was applied in a few spots to be peeled off once I paint the fence, which should represent some chipping. Nothing is attached yet, just sitting there for the photo. Once everything is weathered some, I'll do some gluing.

Almost done. Vehicles in place, battlefield debris in place, figures in place. I added some power lines late last night. I need to add some pastels around and I think I will be done. I did a close up on the VW to show that I added some glass pieces on the running board and on the ground. I think I also need to add some rust pigments on top of the soot around the burnt Jerry cans and drum.

Hello Greg,
what i like the most is all the building street and the elements. Great job!
I think you can practice more with figures and im sure you'll improve them. Also with the shots on the glases of the car.
Kee doing very well!
