I'd agree with the 1/16th motor cycles. Also a !/16th pzII a swimmy in that scale would be nice even an Kfz15 Horch all these in plastic nor resin. Brummbar with interior

My wishlist:
Leopard 2A4 in 1:48 and 1:16
Leopard 2A4 Finland
Leopard 2A4 Singapore
Leopard 2 ARV Buffel
Leopard 1 ARV Standard
A new-tooled and decent Challenger 1
MENG should release their Chieftain Mk. 9 (overdue...)
A new-tooled and decent Leopard 1 - first batch
A decent styrene early track for Leopard 1 (Chevron pattern)
Think all these items are overdue.
Cheers / Stephan

Stephan, you didn't write down the scale, so is it 1/72 or 1/35? If it's the last one I agree with many of your wishes, especially the Leo ARV's and the finnish Leo. But let me add 2 more kits to that list:
1/35 Leopard 1 Bridglayer "Biber"
1/35 VW Iltis

Btw: What about that recently out Revell Leopard 1 (early) in 1/35? I've built it as a belgian Leo and enjoyed the build.

As long as 1/16 scale is being tossed around. A 1/16 scale Jeep sounds good. I could see Tasca or Tamiya doing it, I think any one else doing it would not do it justice .
I could see it as a multi kit with a few extra parts that you could build the Ford GPW or the Willys MB version

Really not much to wish for anymore

But : (in 1/35 scale & injection moulded plastic)

404 Unimog

VW Iltis

Brückenlegepanzer Biber (wonder why Revell didn't produce that variant yet)

and :

'universal' soldiers (i.e. dressed in coverall doing maintanance)

That's mine shortlist

Sam.

Hi Torsten, forgot to mention that I personally concentrate on the 1:35 scale. Only exception is the Leopard 2A4, of which I would personally like to see kits also in other scales. In respect to the early Leopard of Revell: I like the overall look, they got the turret and the proportions quite nice. But I do not like the rubber track. It is awful and I still hope that Bronco, or HKCW will release an early Leopard 1 track. That would also enable me (and all the Dutch modellers) to make a Dutch Leopard 1.
Cheers / regards! Stephan

I didn't know about it until this morning. Then I realised that I have really wanted an HMEE (coming from Panda).

I have also a very big need for an MSS, Magical Storage System.
The system consists of a big box, about twice the size of a large U-Haul box 48 inches long instead of 24, which has lids on both sides and a stamp collector book/folder.
Open the lid marked Store and put the kit box inside, close the lid, wait for 10 seconds for the magic formulas to do their work, open the lid and retrieve the kit box which has now shrunk to the size of a stamp. Store the stamp in the stamp collector book. Those with really large collections can buy more of the storage books.
To restore the kit to its real size open the other lid on the magic box, marked Restore, put the little stamp inside, wait ten seconds and then retrieve the kit box. Always make sure that you only insert one stamp at the time. If two stamps are inserted the probable result is a kitbash with parts mixed between the kits.

It doesn't work on built kits but that is a minor problem

I wish Tamiya would do a 1/32 Soviet WW2 fighter. La-5 or La-7.
Also there’s seriously a need for a new B-26 Marauder in 1/48 or 1/32.

I totally agree with those pointing out Leopard 1’s in 1/35.
I good, solid and well detailed Leopard 1 tank would be nice for a start; one with a interior, being it only pertly, would be so much better.

Both the ARV and the Biber would be cool in plastic.

Besides these I would love to see
VW 181 Jagdwagen
Mowag Piranhia III - any version would be welcome

Do you guys REEEEALLY think that any of these "wish-things" will ever come to fruition..? Seriously..?

The only real things that you can count on is more 1/35 re-boxed Tiger Is from DRAGON, and old re-boxed ITALERI kits from TAMIYA...

As a matter of fact I think the answer is yes! I mean really Dennis, did you ever think we would see the Object 279 in plastic? or the Conqueror, t-24, T-18, a new tool T-35/T-28. How about the T29 series, or the US T54, or how about the Hobbyboss Vickers series? I could go on and on about kits I never thought we would see in plastic, what a wonderful time to be an armor modeler!

Hi, John!

You're right, in certain respects!

However, you've got to admit that A LOT of the subject matter that's been listed, ESPECIALLY US WWII and US Modern Equipment will NEVER see the light of day!!! The chances of seeing a REEEEALLY OBSCURE version or single vehicle of some German WWII test-vehicle or "Paper-Panzer" is far more likely.

I said earlier in this thread that I wasn't going to open my mouth, BUT SEVERAL OF YOU GUYS ARE NOW FORCING ME TO!

FORGET ALL ABOUT an entirely new M8 HMC, a new M3/M3A1 Stuart, M18 TDs or an M3 Lee/Grant, or for that matter, for AFV CLUB to take just one step further and come out with a new WWII US Dodge WC54 Ambulance, based on their earlier Dodge WC-series vehicles.

I could name, AT THE VERY LEAST, 2-DOZEN other US WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Modern AFVs and Soft-skinned vehicles, not counting other Nations' vehicles from ALL eras that I would like to see come into the market, but THAT would be pointless, and a waste of time on my part.

Personally, I COULD CARE LESS about a Soviet Objekt 279 or a post WWI Soviet T-18, ESPECIALLY an Artillery version of same, but that's just my own opinion.

I DO NOT reject anyone's wishes for the literally HUNDREDS of AFVs and Soft-skins that are being mentioned in this thread. But!!! HOPING and/or EXPECTING the model manufacturers to actually release MOST of these candidates in plastic, is just unrealistic. And THAT is why I said that you guys have "high hopes and expectations". The various AFVs and Soft-skins that were mentioned are INDEED, VERY DIVERSE AND INTERESTING subject matter!

Many of you need to realize that the model manufacturers are driven by a desire to take our money. They produce what they perceive to be "popular" subject matter- Thus, the endless "bread-and-butter" and SINGULAR versions of Tiger Is, belonging to ONE "Tank Ace" or another, i.e, Wittmann & Carius, et al.

Re: The Objekt 279- The kits released by several different manufacturers of this rather peculiar and singular oddity is only popular within a niche WITHIN a niche of the broad range of plastic modelling. Will HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of 1/35 Objekt 279s actually be bought by the average modeller?
I'm betting NO...

Tiger Is, (ad nauseam), on the other hand, will make money hand over fist! All the manufacturers need to do is add a different decal sheet, and POSSIBLY, a few "new" parts that they've pirated from their other, earlier Tiger kits.

And, PRESTO!!! AN ALL-NEW TIGER I KIT!!!

IMO, it's DISGUSTING...

Conversely, would we EVER see a kit from ANY model manufacturer of US WWII Tank Ace Lafayette Poole's M4A1 VVSS 76mm (Wet) "In The Mood"..? I'm betting a RESOUNDING NO!!!

So. NOW, I've vented my spleen- REMEMBER, several of you guys have PROVOKED ME into a rebuttal of your "challenging" posts. I HAD NO INTENTION of ONCE AGAIN, mentioning 1/35 Tiger Is versus M8 HMCs, M18s, etc. I consider myself, "NOT GUILTY"!!! YOU guys opened this can of worms, not me!!! [

well said ! couldn't agree more !

Ok, might not be a long list but here is my 2 cents:

* BAE Systems Land Systems OMC RG32M
* Husky TSV (not the ugly mine-clearing thing...)
* The Quad-kit that Bronco announced some time ago.
* Swedish Archer artillery system.
* Swedish PBV 302
* Swedish PBV 401 (MT-LB, would be nice to be able to build it straight from the box... Hope someone from Trumpeter is listening...)
* And of course lots of Swedish soldiers to go with all the vehicles.

Well, I think that's it!

Agree with the RG32. With Mobile Camouflage System in sand color as viewed in Mali !

Husky TSV is here now.

Astounding how many of the wishes from May 2017 have been fulfilled here in September 2018.
M54 truck?
Panthers galore
New M3 Lee different production versions!
M3 Stuart
New Sheridan
Assorted WW1 softskins
New Polish tankettes

But no matter what comes out or whatever variant is kitted someone always cries "why wasn't it X?

Can't agree more. We live in a great time period. Don't see Bergepanther cries anymore.
Soon, Sheridan cries will be silenced also.

I predict interior Sherman kits on the way.

Plus more construction vehicles such as bulldozers, scrapers and excavators. The military have had many of these fantastic machines over the years yet it's still pretty much an untapped market.

Panda already announced kits for the HMEE and the M8 AGS in 1/35
Hobby Boss already has the CV90 family of vehicles in 1/35
Revell already has 1/35 kit of the schutzenpanzer Puma in 1/35 (Trumpeter I think had the Puma listed as a future release).

I've been out of the loop for a while. Going on 5 years now since sitting at the workbench.
