Did we really need kits Sherman III North Africa, Sherman III Sicily and M4A2 Pacific? Those were as similar as these three Tiger I middle are. It works both ways.

And I am not a Tiger guy by any stretch but I find myself with four in my collection and shopping for a fifth! (Afrika, Kursk, early, late and shopping for a mid-Tiger) And that's not counting my two Porsche Tigers (what-if and Girls und Panzer)

So many variations on the theme maybe you never can have too many.

For whatever reasons, Tiger I, King Tiger and even Panther kits usually sell better than the others. Companies like Meng, Ryefield and Takom must have done their market research before doing another Tiger kit from scratch. And for Dragon, they are close to making a kit for each Tiger I in service during WWII. The kits with new tooling are always interesting to build even though it is still a Tiger I kit.

That all depends on how mush you build and what theater you build from. What I like is the various different paint schemes that goes on Tigers and German armor all together as opposed to plain old Olive Drab
