Not sure if this has already been posted here
Question.. isn't TUSK related to the add on armour package?

Hisham, first of all, thanks for one more good news!
AFAIK, USMC Abrams used just some parts of the TUSK. Mostly the belly armor (as shown in the box art) and some bits and bobs on the turret, that I didn't saw in that art. Let's wait for more information.
Cheers!

Cool that is the Abrams I've been waiting for a USMC M1A1.
On the bench...

Hopefully they include the powered commander cupola.

Right ! .... that's what I need too.
Already did some USMC M1s like the one shown on the box ... Dragon kit + PSM upgrades ... same thing.
But this will be a pleasant alternative for some modelers ... strictly USMC .... should turn out nicely.
Hope MENG would speed up their T72 variants as well !
Thankx Hisham !
Cheers

Thanks Hisham for the info! I hope this is for true! What is the source of the picture? Is it reliable because you also posted a same photo for a BMR-3M release from MENG! It would be great to have at last a M1 USMC!

I'm sure they're for real because these pics were taken at a show.. they had other stuff around them, so they were not like some photoshpped posters made up like a prank or something like that

This is true. The design was ready many months ago, together with at least one more, much more interesting Abrams variant...

A newly tooled USMC M1A1 will almost make my year
On the other hand, it should be time for me to finish my modified Dragon M1A1 AIM...

Be nice if they have the Loaders gun shield and .50 cal thermal sight (or was it a spotlight-can't recall at the moment) so one could do an Afghanistan based vehicle. Wouldn't make much sense to just have the belly armour otherwise...

Hans, the original CWS(Commanders Weapon Station)is powered, in azimuth. The new(2012)SCWS(Stabilized Commanders Weapon Station) is powered in azimuth and elevation with stabilization while moving.

Howdy Jim, the travel schedule is cloudy at the moment. Gerold at Perfect Scale Modellblau makes a nice USMC Abrams in A-stan set, #35085:
http://www.perfect-scale.de/en/www--perfect-scale-de-3/M1A1-USMC-Afghanistan.htmlIt is a very comprehensive set, just leave the MCD off the manhole cover in front of the Loaders Station.
