Hey everyone,
I am currently working on the Dragon 234/4 (2662, i think) and was wondering if anyone out there has any good pics of the batteries. As not much of the interior will not be visible after the gun is installed, I really don;t want to spend money on anymore AM items, but will likely scratch-build them.
Thanks fellas,
Dan

Were they a standard item? I have a contemporary drawing of the innards of a Panther hull, which shows the batteries. If they were the same type of battery, that might help. Modern runners obviously tend to use modern batteries though.

I think they were pretty universal throughout the German Army. I could be wrong. As long as they are similar, not much of them will be seen.

they sell a resin replacement that you could look at to design your own, if that simplifies things. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tank-Workshop-1-35-Sd-Kfz-234-Batteries-and-Transmission-Housing-Dragon-353045-/170816158255

Thanks Jason,
They appear to be simple in shape and would probably be a somewhat simple (Yeah Right!) scratch build with plastic strip and card. I really don't want to spend any more $ on this project.
Does anyone have any pics of the actual batteries, I could use as reference?

I scratch built batteries for my 234/3 build. They were based on a photo I saw and I tried to make them accurate for size and rough appearance. Once the hull was closed up they were almost invisible. All you can see inside is that there is something there.

Russ,
Thanks for the pics. I probably just "wing it" with the SB of the batteries. I know what you mean about not much showing when closed up. I spent a lot of time fiddling around with PE for interior before I realized that most of it won;t be seen, so I started to only use the PE that is visible.
