After moving and finally getting reasonably settled in, I'm back to modeling in a limited way. I actually have a nicer area to work in, just not quite fully unpacked yet. As a "warm-up" after an eight month hiatus, I decided to get into the Academy Magach 7c, thinking it would be nearly OOB.
Well, almost. I've added a few things, done some clean-up of about nine million ejector pin marks and scraped about nine miles worth of mold seams, but it's coming along. I had a DEF Models M60 rear plate handy, and some Desert Eagle antenna mounts, which with some Friuls and some air filter housings off Shapeways are about all the AM it's getting. Other parts come from other M60 kits and a couple of bits from Merkava 1 and -2 kits. The new Urdan cupola in this kit is very nice, and Academy have actually supplied almost correct drive sprockets instead of Merkava parts as in the old Magach 6 kit, although the pitch of the teeth is slightly off. Oh well.
I'm ready for the small amount of anti-slip, then paint. The dark brown in the pics is Humbrol 110, applied with a brush, in the hard to spray areas.
More soon, I hope.

If you don't mind fixing pin marks and cleaning mold seams, it's a pretty good kit. I think I may start using the AFV Club M60 hull for any more IDF Magachs, however, as I'm getting tired of "fixing" the old Tamiya/Academy hulls. Even the ESCI hull is in need of a fair amount of love. I also have the 6B Gal-Batash in the stash, may use one of the several ESCI hulls I have stashed.
And paint's on, pics soon.

Quoted TextWell. effin' P-bucket has dumped all my pics. Rats.
lol, this is what happens when you take 'long' vacations...
These image hosting guys simply don't respect the passage of time like us mere mortals...
They have no clue!
So the wash went badly awry, scratching my head now.

That's what I did, basically, but waited too long to do the cleanup of excess wash. I nutted up and decanted some of the base color, applied it with a brush on the affected areas and then re-did the wash. I'll have pics soon, but I think it's a "save".

I Like it, I have a real thing for IDF armour. One question, how did you do the bent antenna bases?

Thanks. Antenna bases are resin parts from Desert Eagle Productions (Michael Mass), very nice parts.
