Getting back into the hobby. Working on two kits presently, with a third still in the shrink wrap.

I love the idea and added detail the aftermarket products provide, but I'm having difficulty figuring out who makes what.

For example one of the kits I'm working on is the P IV Asuf H from Tamiya. Yesterday I was trying to find out who makes additional parts to further detail the kit. Primarily the interior and tracks.

I know Scalemates has some info on who offers additional detail kits, but beyond that I'm uncertain of where to look.

What's your best way of finding out what is available for any kit?

Check the online shops like Sprue Brothere or Scale Hobbyist, there are others. Do a search or just check out the detail sets. Just about all the shops have filters to help you narrow your search. These days there are so many outfits making all sorts of parts that there is no such thing as one stop shopping. If you go crazy you can easily spend as much or more for after market than on a kit. Good luck.

Go to ebay and type PzIV into the search and take a look.

Look at Voyager, CMK, Verlinden and such, also Eduard. Then it is just a matter of preference, skill level and how much you want to spend.

Sad to hear about Verlinden. Lots of online shops still have their products available. You can also find them on Ebay.
