I'm interested in the MCTAGS turrets that Live Resin has for USMC vehicles, and would like to build one for a Humvee and one for an MRAP. I'd purchase the Meng Cougar in a heartbeat, but it's a 6-wheel version and most of the pics I've seen for the Jeye-reens show them with 4-wheel ones.
I'm not committed to any one scheme, just want the best-build kit that would work for MCTAGS. TIA.

The 6x6 variant should be fine to go with, Bill...

Merci milles fois, mon ami! You are legendary to my model club members, we talked about you the other night and how quickly you come up with these photos.
Meng sells an AM set of wheels for their MRAP separately. Are they an upgrade over the vinyl tires in the kit?
And is there a better (non-resin) model for the Cougar than the Meng?

Your welcome Bill (and thanks for the kind words !) ...Can't help you with your question about Meng wheel set though.
Panda has released a plastic 1/35th scale 6x6 Cougar JERRV :
You can check out this earlier thread for some info about both kits regarding dimensions :

Thanks, H.P. It looks like the Meng kit is the better bet. I have gone through Pascal's thread, and it looks like this could be the right platform for the Live Resin turrets.

Hi Bill,
for my Cougar i will use the Def-Model wheels 35074. These are sagged wheels. I think the Meng wheels are not.
Best

Isn't the Meng kit inaccurate?

There is some contention the nose is 10mm too long. I don't have more information than that.
