I've read online that Simple Green is a great paint stripper... how does it work on enamel paints? Does it harm plastic or metals?

I've used Castrol's super clean on enamels. It works fine ...no damage.

Blank, can you tell us on what site have you read that article? I may also need that to strip away my M2A2 ODS

It may take a day or two of soaking. But it will soften / remove most paints.

I just stripped off Testors enamel primer with Kroger Heavy Duty oven cleaner fresh lemon scent, didn't harm the plastic, and has a fresh lemon scent, and with the kroger card, it is less then half the cost of Easy Off, it took a couple applications, cause it was on my Pak 40, there is a lot of little fragile stuff on it, I sprayed it, then put it in a plastic container with a lid on it over night, come back the next day and started to wipe the paint off, but the parts that were in the open came off the first time, then the second coat all the tiny stuff I couldn't reach, I put it under the running warm water, and the rest came off. I also had a paper towel in the bottom of the plastic container. Kerry
