The jeep fire truck looks good, but it is not a CJ2A. On the WWII Willys the gas tank filler cap is under the seat and the seat hinges forward for access. On the CJ2A the gas tank is under the seat but the gas cap is on the left side inset in the body and the seat is fixed. None the less I think there were WWII jeeps converted. Just use the stock kit front grill.

Rover is certainly very interesting, but knowing the price policy of the Black Dog, I think that the price will be very high (

I would very much like to get my hands on one of those 6x6 Land Rovers.

I have been compiling as much info as I can for years in the hopes I could finally build a reasonably accurate model of both the LRPV and the standard 6x6, since you ca'nt easily convert a standard Land Rover to the 6x6.

It would be good to see if Black Dog got it right, and save myself the hassle of trying to do it myself.

Hard to tell in detail but the chassis definitely looks wrong.
Looks like they took a standard 4x4 chassis and just extended it, with coil suspension for the rear two axles. Potentially disappointing

Looking forward to the jep fire truck. I hope they make a basic 6x6 cargo/guntractor version of the Land Rover, I would definitely be in for one of those.Regards Jason

Pave Hawk, Mouse House had a set of "plans" for the LRPV, not sure if they have them at the moment, but Jason Miller (Aussie Armour) is a regular contributor here, he may be able to help you out. ( sorry if I spelt your name wrong Jason)

Google WWII fire jeeps. There are pictures of these in use, all post WWII from what I could tell. Most are based on the CJ2A, but there is one in Germany based on the WWII Willys or Ford. I could not find any in use in the UK, but that does not mean they were not there.

These seemed to be used as a general purpose light fire truck. The more I look at it, them more I like it.

Already bought those, one of the first things I did. Good for the shape of the body and exterior, but had no chassis detail.

I do have a basic chassis drawing, but it takes me a while to try and use the few dimensions I do have to figure out the rest of the dimensions that I don't have.

Last night I also managed to find the few photos I took of the busted LRPV from the Australian war memorial. Wish I had taken a few more detailed ones but they had alarm sensors if you stood too close.

Would you know of full CJ2A kits in 1/35?
